HEALTHCARE AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & MACHINE LEARNING (AI-ML)

Now, more than ever, the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI-ML) within healthcare is growing in importance and is becoming more widely accepted. It enhances levels of precision in medicine, improves treatment and quality of life, and offers many financial and administrative benefits. SRG’s experience in AI-ML began long before the recent hype surrounding its development, dating back over 30 years to when SRG founder, Dave Wesley, headed an advanced AI-ML project in oncology. We are currently engaging with our customers on several AI-ML projects, and are rapidly expanding our footprint in this growing sector.

THE RISE OF AMBIENT COMPUTING IN HEALTHCARE

AI has vastly improved many areas of healthcare, with a reduction in clinician burnout at the forefront of this new era. Ambient computing allows for clinicians and practitioners to spend less time on EHRs (electronic health records) and has created a better environment for patient consultations. SRG looks forward to the evolution facilitated by ambient computing and is prepared to grow alongside these developing technologies. Read more about the future and benefits of ambient computing in healthcare in our blog post, The Rise of Ambient Computing in Healthcare.

AI SOLUTIONS FOR EQUALITY IN HEALTHCARE - THE SYMBIOSIS BETWEEN HUMAN AND MACHINE

Artificial intelligence can be used to help reduce biases in the medical world in order to push for healthcare equity. Yet, simultaneously, it can create even more biases, as clinical trials may have small samples or the human components that input the data may not do so fairly. This is why it’s important that humans actively work towards creating equality in healthcare systems, so that AI can then function to its fullest potential. Read more about how AI affects equality in healthcare in our blog post AI Solutions for Equality in Healthcare - The Symbiosis Between Human and Machine.
